Instructions

​Proper Prep is EVERYTHING!
It eliminates most paint failures and insures that your crafted piece will last many lifetimes.

CLEAN and PREP your surface well. Most old furniture will contain contaminants of all kinds such as wax, tobacco smoke, sticky old lacquer grime etc. Waxes can be removed with Mineral Spirits however, any traces of cleaners should be wiped clean with CrystaLac® Surface Conditioner or Denatured alcohol and water before painting. DO NOT use tack cloths as they can cause adhesion problems.
SCUFF SAND lightly to give the surface some tooth to hang on to.
WIPE OFF sanding dust with CrystaLac® Surface Conditioner or a 50/50 mix of Denatured alcohol and water.
Shake or Stir Flip'N Awesome well.
PAINT AWAY using your favorite brush or sprayer. Use long, even strokes and apply thin coats. Allow 2-4 hours dry time between coats. For tannin bleeding woods & light colors, 2 to 3 coats will be needed. Allow 24 hours dry time for the first coat. Flip'N Awesome has a built in Top Coat that is very durable and water resistant but it is recommended to use a clear Top Coat for extra protection on surface tops or any piece that will receive a lot of wear, Extreme Protection Polyurethane is perfect for this application or any of the fine top coats made by The CrystaLac® Company.
Flip'N Awesome can be lightly used within 48 hours but will take anywhere from 2 weeks to 30 days to fully cure.
 
Flip'N Awesome is intended for INTERIOR use
but can be used outdoors if protected with CrabCoat Marine Finish
